The Hidden: Chapter 7

The Hidden: Chapter 6                                                                                                             The Hidden: Chapter 8

Everything around me, was black. A void which held nothing but a sad child. Small luggage for a trip to who knows where. Luggage, now without an owner and lonely, wondering through the abyss of an unknown cycle. I could not stop it. I could not keep myself with my dad. I could not live with him anymore. I just COULDN'T. Even after all the inspiring advice he gave me, right before I left. It wasn't enough to save our father and son bond. Now... We're separated... Forever.
I floated silently in the void, and honestly that's all I could do. I couldn't speak, cry, laugh, shift my body, move my arm, or even blink. Thing is, I couldn't even think about doing those things either. I couldn't do anything. No breathing, no blinking. My heart wasn't even beating. It was just a world of 'nothing'.
I started to see an image after about what seemed like a half an hour of being there. It was an odd looking image though. It seemed to resemble a building, one which I had never seen before in my life. It was tall, and the sun reflected off of it brighter than any lantern I had seen. Near the base of the building were people walking about on the sides of the road. I guess it was a road anyways. Black, with a stripes down through the center of it. And these machines, we're they what my father had told me about from when I was six? Large metallic locomotives with wheels of rubber surrounding what was called, the 'rim' and it had glass windows. Everyone wore strange clothing and talked in a different way from people I knew. It was still English, but just different.
The things I saw were very odd. The people were almost the same but somehow different. I figured they were from a different country like Europe or Asia. But if that were so then how did these people know English? It boggled me, and had an itchy effect on my mind. It slowly grew and became a feeling of confusion and gave me an eerie vibe. I remembered the events that had just taken place again, and I grew uncomfortable. But that wasn't going to help me and I knew it.
Suddenly a pull at my arm startled me and I jumped. My heart rate jumped and then I noticed that I was moving and breathing again. Another pull at my leg gathered my attention. Then another, and another. I felt a pulling sensation throughout my body and as it took place, I realized that the images didn't move or go anywhere. They were still there. In fact, they were becoming more vivid and were brighter than before. Eventually, the blackness seemed to fade completely away although I wasn't totally for sure, and the images became bigger and bigger and the texture increased until it felt like I could actually feel everything I saw.
Without a warning, everything jumped at me and I flew To the ground gasping for air. The fall had knocked the air out of my lungs and I was hunched over. As I slowly gained control over my breathing, I realized that I wasn't in the black void anymore. I was at a place that looked almost identicle to the images I saw. The only difference was I wasn't actually at the location I saw. Instead, it was raining and I was surrounded by large boxes with one of those strange machinery holding it and buildings made of brick.
One of the boxes had something written on it. It said Pepsi. I tried to stand up but was very shaky and it kinda hurt. I heard what I believed to be a gunshot from behind me and a someone crying out. I hesitated and gained my balance before running awkwardly to the unknown person's location. I looked around a box as I ran past it and I saw a man lying on the ground with a bloodstain on his face. I ran up to help him and fell down beside him. I shook him to get his attention, because I was out of breath and could not speak.I continued to shake the man, while looking around and finally I said, "sir are you al-" I looked at his face and saw half of it was missing and screamed and jumped to my feet. I felt something in my hand and looked to see what it was, and I saw a gun...
