The Thing Part 3: The Shifters

The wave of fire surged towards me. I took a moment to admire its beauty and then snapped to reality. Everything in my head told me i couldnt do it, that i should give up and die. I considered being engulfed in the flames for a second but then i remembered my powers. I waved my hands in an upward motion and watched a wall of pure darkness rise. I nodded my head towards the flame wave and watched as my wave of darkness started towars it. I didnt know if my wave of darkness would be enough so i used my own pyrokinetic powers to die down the flames. I watched as my wave of darkness demolished the fire wall. The thing, now in dragon form, shot me a look of pure evil.

I readied myself for combat. I charged my entire body. I powered up my hand with UmbraKinetic energy and sprinted at the thing. A fireball came flying towards me, easily avoided with a quick sidewards roll. I got closer to the thing, my hand now burning with Umbrakinetic energy. The thing swung its long dragon tail at me, a simple jump cleared it. I felt on top of the world, ready to finish this thing off. Another wall of fire came towards me, I made a huge umbra shield and ran through it. I drew back my hand, ready to kill. The thing launched a last effort swing of its tail which i dodged in a graceful manner. I felt all of the UmbbraKinetic energy in my hand and punched through the thing. Screaming as loud as i could.

I looked into the things eyes as it lay there, Ready to die. It just laughed. Right in my face, hysterically. 'As you have probably guessed, i am a shifter. This probably isnt a suprise to you, you have allready seen my dragon form.' The thing told me this while still laughing hysterically.I asked it why it attacked me and my friends. It just carried on laughing hysterically. 'I belong to a clan of evil shifters, a fighting force that targets certain people. We serve hell' It didnt suprise me at all what the thing said. But what it said next was like a verbal punch in the face. 'You are a shifter too. You just killed another shifter. You have just initiated yourself into the clan. welcome' The thing closed its eyes and died...
