Sorry. By practitioners I mean any person practicing psi, magick, etc. I am sure you have heard of psions constructing shields, and the like and those with Lygokinesis can shape their energy into a force-field. The Deflective energies are brought about by a specific state of mind.

I never asked you to list all, just asked what this one was.
And no offence, but "it is difficult to explain" means nada to me.

I don't know what you mean by practitioners, but psions use psi or other energy and give it a defence feel, or more accurately, "program" it to push or defend back, to absorb, or many more.
And I've never heard of psions using "defensive energy", only "energy that was given/had characteristics and functions of defense/used for defensive.

There are MANY types of metaphysical energy! So many, it would take hours upon hours to list them all. Deflection energy is the same mystical energy used by practitioners for protection spells and psychic shields, although in that form it is very diluted. Deflection is the mastery of pure defensive energies, which is a combination of SEVERAL different lesser forms of energies. It is difficult to explain.

What is the coined term for this magykal/psionic energies?

Veil? If it is, you should have put a warning up...

Or is it just a nondescript energy taking the characteristics of deflection?

This article is not finished yet! I have to put in the techs and method to show how this can be done. That, and you need to approach this with an open mind or you will never accomplish anything.
