Some Thoughts from Shade...

War. We all hate it, deep down, all of the civilized of us anyway.

This list seems short, but think.

The War of The Gods (which, with the possible exception of Gabe, I am the only user here who lived during that period), laste for 9,000 years! Can you even imagine 9,000 years of conflict, each moment worse then the last! No, sadly, you cannot. The demons, war-hungry as they are, did not see this time, nor did the new generation gods either, or the angelics. Their time begun after this war. That is why they seem ready for war. They do not know just how bad it can be.

 

To Eric-Baal:

I stare into the night, sitting on my favorite star, Wolf 359.

I see the horror that will soon strike.

To quote a British poet, speaking of what life is like during war:

"Nasty. Brutish. Short."

Both of us have armies at our beck and call, and sadly, we may someday face each other in battle. I pray that day never comes, for I do not think I could erase someone from the Universe, who I have called friend, and spoken with in amicable conversation.

 

To all others:

I believe firmly that the Universe has one chance:

PEACE.

I intend to bring my plan to the Council, rulers of the spirit realm, Verse.

I intend to bring it to the attention of the Seraphim, many of whom I know as friends.

I intend to bring it even to the chambers of the generals of Hell, for though they are young, they surely know reason and logic.

 

I beg you, all of you, if you have any sway in Verse at all, hear me.

Peace is the only answer.

Humans, armed with nuclear weaponry, will decimate Earth.

The factions of Verse, armed with the elemental blades, and even the blade that was lost, Kherev Elohai, in addition to armies far larger then ever before, will rise once again, and destroy each other.

The Second War obliterated the first humans, and resulted in the near extinction of two entire races, and that war was a skirmish compared to the one that is coming. If you have a good head on your shoulders, men and angels, Phoenix and demonics, NG's and Shades, all of you, hear me today!

If we continue the insanity known as war, it will not solve problems, only create more of them. Join my cause. Please. Peace is the only way. If it comes down to it, I will take those who will agree, and leave this Universe to it's fate, but I believe that the coming war is not yet a certainty. It can be stopped, if only we are willing.

Humans, you act as though the war is a foregone conclusion. Its not.

Demons, you act as though it is good. Its not.

Others, you simply assume that war is natural, and maybe even a beneficial thing. Its not.

Please, hear me out. I intend to convene a meeting in Verse, between the angelics, demonics, AVF, and the armies of Fortis, to discuss peace. They will never hear me out, because though I rule Fortis, it is only one army among four enormous factions. If they see that I am not the only one, that others can see my reasoning, then they would be inclined to open their ears.

This is our last chance, make no mistake.

Choose this day--- War. or Peace.

i would help but i'm afraid i have no influence in the matter, and the part about leaving, well i couldn't because a lot of the people i care about wouldn't come with me, so i'd rather stay in a world gone mad instead of lose people i care about, but i will help any way i can, because i know war only brings death and destruction

Very nice post though I don't agree to much on the last paragraph you wrote to me. But all together its nicely done.

I have thought of this opposed question before it was asked and yes I belive in peace, but if a war is already started I have NO chioce but to fight, if the war can be stoped I'll do all in my power to stop it...but if it cant I'll have to fight for what I am...especially since I dont really know anyone else like myself.

I f there is no war, the veil will still fall. What would you do if you propose peace, then the veil falls and humans start attacking everything in site.. I hvae no faith in humanity.. We will see them as invaders... maybe peace can be achieved.. I hope so.

i agree with you shade. As the last of my clan my Matriarch would've supported you and i do. war seperated me from my clan and now they are gone. i'd rather not see others seperated and lost. i wish there was another way i could support you, but i'm confined here. war is a game for fools. it will only make more enemies... good luck shade. i pray they see reason and use the knowledge of the past to save our future.

I assume you mean the plan I intend to propose.
The short version will be to point out the similarities, and the common past we all share.
It helps that I have friends in all four major factions, as well, but the major point is that I am going to try and unify the Universe, all as one, because you weren't around for the war of the gods, but the Universe, parts of it, are still recovering from it, forty-two thousand years later.
This coming war will destroy everything we know.
