Shield>Seal>Object???

Can a shield be bound to a seal/rune, which in turn can be bound to an object?

 

If that's confusing, what I mean is:

Can you come up with a seal/rune that is carved/drawn onto an object, so when you trace the rune/seal it brings a shield up? This is if you do not need it constantly up.

 

If this is possible, please help me on how to do it.
