Self-Healing Massage Techniques

From the Orient has come stories of miraculous healing powers never before seen in the West. What do the Orientals' know that the West has yet to learn? One of their great secrets is a self massage practice called Do-In (Doe Inn) in Japan. The Chinese refer to self massage practice as Tao-Yin' (Dow Yin). Many of the Japanese and Chinese Taoist Masters who practice Do-In and Chi Kung are reported to be well over 100 years young and going strong! Along with Do-In and Chi Kung Yoga practice, they consume mainly whole natural foods consisting of whole grains, vegetables, yams, squash, rice, rye etc. By practicing these methods, they say, one's health, immune system and energy levels improve by quantum leaps. Do-In and Chi Kung practice, in addition to wholesome nutrition, herbs, meditation and prayer are the keys that have been taught by the ancient masters of all religions to maintain super health and overcome degenerative diseases. A good friend of ours from Canada, Frances Bates, was suffering from partial paralysis of her left arm. A few days of performing Do-In and Chi Kung exercises, and she was able to move her arm freely and without any pain. Do-In has many varied techniques and modalities for self healing. When you improve circulation to one part of the body, the healing benefits are felt in other parts of the body. The following is a very simple Do-In routine. Just simply 'rub' and 'massage' the following areas in this order:
Daily Do-In Self Healing Massage Routine
-Rub the crown of the head and temples for mental clarity
-Rub the ears to heat-up the body and invigorate the kidneys
-Rub the eyes to regenerate the liver, improve vision, and freshen the spirit
-Rub the nose to help heal heart problems
-Rub the mouth to help improve stomach digestion
-Rub the nostrils and cheeks to eliminate mucus, sinus problems and to cleanse the lungs
-Rub the neck for emotional problems, stress, and to increase vitality; also helps for calmness and poise
-Rub the arms for heart problems, nervousness and emotional love problems
-Rub the chest and upper back for depression, grief and the courage to face life without fear
-Rub the heart area for greater circulation and spiritual love
-Rub the liver (under right rib cage), to strengthen the eyesight and for sustaining energy
-Rub the kidneys for better hearing or ear problems
-Rub the big toe to clear the brain and achieve mental clarity
-Rub the four small toes to help heal the eyesight and hearing
-Rub the feet for mental and physical grounding and physical strength
-Rub your legs to release past problems and to place mind in the here and now moment
-Rub your buttocks for sciatic nerve problems, relaxation, tension or stress
-Rub the sacrum for lower back pain, hemorrhoids, and menstrual cramps
-Rub your belly (hara) for abundant health and centering, and to gain wisdom, intuition and insight
Rub in the exact order as outlined above for grounding and centering.
Rubbing the area allows Prana to flow there more freely, making the body healthy.
