The year is 1865 in Washington D.C.

On April 14, a miracle, and a tragedy took place. News spreads as word of a gunshot and a fatality was reported at the Ford theatre. It is unscertain whether or not this rumor is true, but what is true, is the birth of a child. After 18 hours of labor, a woman gave birth to her son, named Alex. In these times, it was unheard of for labor to last 18 hours, and Alex's mother was torn apart by the agonizing wait... but, during that time, a dispute took place within that woman... A fascination of love and hate. A festival of brutality, composed of an angel, and a demon. Alex was too young to understand and was just new to being in the open world, but his mother did. His father, was just like everyone else he had ever met except... he was not human, and he could perform marvelous feats. The truth behind his abilities lie within his blood, and date back to ancient times from the south American empires and even as far back as 500 b.c. His oldest ancestor with these traits was given to him as a gift. He saved his destined true love from a horrible death and was rewarded by an angel, the ultimate gift, of true free will. But the demon who he stopped was angered greatly and placed an uncurable curse upon him, placing any woman who should ever give birth to his children, and grandchildren and great grandchildren, and so forth, to die from giving birth and allow the child to live, or live themselves, but lose their child. The choice was not given and was an obligation for any outcome to play out. The curse stayed within the blood line all the way to Alex's father and unto Alex. When Alex was born, his mother had died, due to the curse. Luckily, his father took care of him, and nurtured the boy until he could take care of himself. Alex's father knew of the curse as so did his predecessor's, and just like each of them, he tried to stop the death of his wife during her time giving birth. Unfortunately, he failed, and as it is written, so did his predecessor's before him. The curse was uncurable and because of this, it could not be counteracted by simple powers. The fate of the woman bearing the child lay in the hands of either the angel or the demon. The angel, granted life to the child, but the demon took the mothers in place of the child. If the bearer survived however, then the child would die instead. The death is quick and takes only a minute after a successful delivery. This curse stayed within the bloodline for over 2,300 years and pained the ones who had to witness its dreadful effects. Alex, now held this curse, and would be left to deal with for no one can help him. He will not discover this though until he would turn of the age of 17. The curse is deadly, and yet, it holds a gift in return. It lays within its host, waiting to play its role when the time comes. Waiting... Quietly.... And patiently.... Never to be expected. It is... Hidden.
