Odd sensation

In my last class to day we watched a video that bothered me, I suddenly felt like I was going to burst into flames. I managed to suppress the energy but what did get out felt like it was so hot it was cold. You know when you hold ice for a while your hand gets cold then starts to feel like it's burning, well I was kind of like that. Can some one explain this to me because fire isn't even my natural element.
