Zaggy: Story Prologue

Prologue

My name is Midael. I am 6 foot 9 tall. Of course that is small for us Superhumans. I am only 14; I’ll be fully grown in a few years. I am bulky and muscular all round. I have black hair and a round face. I am deep in Were-Wolf territory. I’m looking for the Sacred Fang, An Ancient artefact, one of the most valuable things on this Earth. These forests are thick, dense and deep; beautiful in every way. It’s a shame that such vile creatures like the Were-Wolves roam these places. I don’t really want to be here either; I want to be at home with everyone else instead of being a simple puppet in the military. I’m not saying I don’t like the job, I mean, I kick ass for a living. Who doesn’t enjoy that? Its just, I never get to spend time with my family, and it seems like someone is always trying to kill me. I have a girlfriend, she is always worried about me, I don’t even get much time with her. I don’t have to worry any more. I’ll be home for a while if I bring back the Fang. I take a moment to look up and admire the trees, how tall and strong they are. That look almost cost me my life. I hear a snap behind me. I turn around…

I find myself face to face with three Were-Wolves. Half man, Half wolf, Disgusting really. Although their power is not to be doubted, there are both psionically and physically strong, Very strong. There are three of them, standing about 7 feet tall, glaring at me. I’m not frightened.

“Human? In my forest? What are you doing here, scum?”

I think fast on my feet and I comeback “The term is SuperHuman, Bro”

The Were-Wolves look and laugh, one rushes forward and throws a punch to my face. I raise my hand lazily and grab the Were-Wolf’s fist, mid swing. I squeeze tight and watch the bastard try to hide the pain in his eyes. I carry on squeezing, hard. The other Were-Wolves stand back and watch, wondering what they should do next. With the delay that they are taking I make my move. I let go of the Were-Wolf and jump high in the air, I come punching down and land a harsh blow to the Were-Wolf’s face. He hit the ground, blood pouring out of his nose and mouth. I doubt he will be coming back for more, now that he is unconscious. The other two must have decided what they were going to do, because the next thing you know they are running at me. The one on the right was easily taken care of. I summon a fireball to my right hand, and throw it straight towards him. Something tells me it hurt, perhaps the way it screamed. The next Were was taken care of with no, or little effort. As he got close to me, he rand head first into a wall of telekinetic energy. All three Were-Wolves lay on the ground. I laughed and walked away, continuing my search.
