INVICTUS:PROLOGUE CHAPTERS

Hey everyone this is Raven.The first 3 chapters of my book serve as a prologue,so don't judge the book from that,OK?

INVICTUS

 

CHAPTER 1:

The Key

 

 

Everything started when I opened that folder.If I knew it would end up like this,I would probably have probably never opened it.Since then my life's been a living hell.Writing this is WAY too risky, so if any of you recieves mysterious letters or phoencalls,I suggest you try to find a place to hide while you still can, or try and seek help from The Council.

 

I am Marc.Or more corectly, I was Marc.Now everything's changed.I used to live with my mother.My father was gone long ago.I didn't even had th.e chance to meet him.They had told me he had died in a wierd accident.But now I know the truth.And I believe it is only fair if you know the truth too.The truth about everything.Don't misunderstand me.I just want to wake you up.And prepare you for what is to come...

I opened the letter.It was Monday and I had just came home after school.I used to find it boring.Now I really miss this.

What I found inside it was of unbelievable beauty.It wasn't something special,just a short wand made of cherry wood.But it seemed to me as if it was shining.But not literally.It shined of power.I could feel it, but I could not explain it..I left it on my desk, so I could figure out what it was and what purpose it served.I took my magnifying glass and I started exploring it.But I found nothing.It was just plain.Or,a thought passed from my mind, I just didn't look at it the right way.

I tried to get my attention of it but I simply couldn't help it.It was too hard for me to resist thinking of it all the time.I felt it like it was a part of me.I had never experienced somethinf like that before.Part of me was even scared at some point.Anyway, I tried to do my homework but I couldn't concentrate.Something in my mind “whispered” me that I should take it outside.

Therefore,I put my clothes on,walked down the stairs and got out of my house,along with my new-found wand.Thankfully,my mum was sleeping.I held the “wand” in my hands.I had a strange feeling.And something amazing happened.

CHAPTER 2:

HIDDEN

 

He was hiding in the shadows.He was stalking.He had to protect the boy whatever the cost.He was born for a reason.He had a destiny that needed to be fulfilled.And he was the one to guide him through his journey.That's why he sent the Key.It's the appropriate time.He had just turned fourteen.He would definately need a weapon to defend himself,in case he,who was hidden in the shadows stalking,was not able to.The boy needed a way to unleash his power,to unlock his potential.The Key would awaken him.He was lost in his thoughts when he saw the boy getting out of his house,holding the Key in his right hand.He froze.He knew exactly what was happening.The Key was guiding him,helping him channel his powers.He had to stop him before he caused any trouble.But it was too late.A strong wind blew as the boy raised the Key.The wind got stronger to the point he could not resist.He fell off of the tree.He touched his ring and said:

 

“Benatir Cararcau Dedos Etinarmi”

 

He turned invisible on the spot.

He set up some shields to counter the wind and moved towards the boy,who had already summoned a gale.His power was indeed fascinating.It took him at least one week before he could use the Key, and the boy used it without even knowing what it is.But he couldn't let him go on.His power was incontrollable.He thrusted his palm forward,and the Key flew off of the boy's hand.

He pointed out his index and middle fingers and the boy was pushed away by a telekinetic wave.

The shadows engulfed him and he disappeared.
