Electrokinesis

Hey I'm back once again. exams, coursework the whole 9 yards but my question is when I walk past a lamp post or electrical appliance (it works better at night or when it's cold) I get I big feeling of static and electricity in my hands, when I try to do something with it, it fades away. I haven't been doing my training because of school work and that but is this electroK or my imagination?
