Presenting An Image

First, you cannot disguise your race/species. It can be camoflauged, but not

completely glazed over, a good scanner will eventually ferret out the truth.
Now, get the image you are trying to present in your head, and stick with

it. Coordinate all your speech patterns and mannerisms to match it.
Now, about the age factor.
Age can be determined through scanning, thought it is difficult and not

always reliable. However, most people are by nature trusting, so if you say

you're sixteen, they probably will not bother verifying it. This is a highly

advanced skill called lying, and it unfortunately is sometimes the best

course of action, moral compunctions aside.
Now, for cloaking your power. This is always a good idea. Personally, the

image I go for with my cloak is someone of moderate power, plus a

superiority complex just under the surface, and as you can plainly see from

scanning me, it works quite well, I have never had someone penetrate my

cloak.
To cloak it, place a static field (yes, screen snow), over your aura, then

overlay it with the necessary amount of energy to indicate the power level

you are trying to give the impression of. When you first start out, anyone of

some skill can see straight through it, so don't be downcast about that.

Reinforce the field daily, and it gradually will become nearly impossible to

see through (My cloak, and I am sure many other's here, is the product of

years of dail strengthening.)
Contrary to most opinions, you can give off the appearance of strength, but

it's a bad idea, because if I think you're strong, and you ask to spar with

me, instead of using a regular strength blast, I would be more inclined to

hit you with something far more powerful. Also, these cloaks can be

scanned through more easily. Therefore, if you are weaker, do not cloak

your power. If you are stronger, give the illusion of weakness, as it is best

if others underestimate you, and give you a low profile, for the simple

reason that when the time comes for them to be eliminated, they will not

be expecting it.
