Bindings and Combat Techs

I have been getting questions in my message box about bindings, i.e, what they are.

Well, here it is:

 

Bindings are, in essence, well, bonds, if you will, seals, placed around an immortal's chakras and/or soul to block out and cancel most of his/her powers that would normally be available.

Bindings are not placed on humans. If you are weakening, it's not because you are bound, it's a little thing called operator failure. Seriously, just try pumping up your energy, to charge and revitalize yourself.

When bbdeathspark said "Immortals are far above humans", he neglected to mention that every immortal on Earth is bound extremely tightly. There are no exceptions.

My powers, personally, are bound 96.5%. You heard me correctly. I have use of a mere 3.5% of my power. This ridiculous ration is usually the same with most immortals, give or take a percent or two.

So, when the veil drops, my powers, and the others powers, will increase to their normal level. That is what bb meant. An unbound immortal with any kind of power would not even have to fight-he could simply will you out of existence. If you go to Verse, you will encounter unbound souls.

However, here on Earth, my powers are still only 3.5% of normal, and at the time of writing, that puts me on a level equal to an advanced human, which is no surprise, seeing as I have, as I said before, eleven years of experience.

Now, about races. People are asking me daily to make them another race. Now that you know what the bindings are, you should know that I, bbdeathspark, or JayShay have no advantages over any of the rest of you. We may be strong, but that is due to practice, not a lack of being human.

So rest assured that yes, you can, and will, reach the same level I am at, Maestro, Merlin, Gluxdator, bbdeathspark, JayShay, and dozens of other experienced psions are at. Patience is a virtue my friend. Ten years from now, your powers will easily match, and, I hope, exceed mine.

 

A final note:

The well-rounded psionic warrior, and I just might know something about this, does not just use psionics.

Allow me to list the abilities I use in most situations:

Mind Reading

Force Thought

Empathy

Aerokinesis

Kick-Ass

As you can see, the final one is a last resort.

First, if challenged, I read the mind, and scan them, to determine their motives and skills, if any.

Second, I use my considerable force thought abilities to try and convince them to leave me alone.

Force thought: think Star Wars (these are not the droids you're looking for).

Empathy: I will generate terrible fear of me in their mind. If they still stand there,

Aerokinesis: I will give a demo of who and what I am, and blow them around like a scrap of paper.

If they still insist on attacking:

I practice several forms of martial arts, am quite skilled in the use of just about any weapon you can name, and it usually only takes a few seconds to neutralize the offending individual. Take "neutralize" whatever way you like, I'll leave the definition open to the philosophers.
